Free Printable Floral Fussy Cuts for Journaling + Mini BlendBook Inspiration

In this post I’m sharing a small journaling project that grew out of this month’s “Create” prompt on the Blend Prompt Card, and turned into something I loved so much I wanted to share it with you too.

I’ve created a free printable page of floral fussy cuts built around a quote about love, kindness, and connection. You can download the PDF from my Planner Lovers Resource Library, or free Patreon community, and use the pieces in your own journaling or creative projects in whatever way feels good.

How this mini collection came together

This mini collection – and the spread I created with it in my Mini BlendBook – started with February’s Create prompt: create a page using hearts. At the same time, I’d been journaling in my Soul BlendBook around loving kindness and connection, and those themes naturally found their way onto the page. What began as a single quote expanded into a full sheet of elements because I was enjoying the process so much!

What a Mini BlendBook is (and why I use one)

If you’re new here and wondering what a Mini BlendBook is: it’s a small notebook I use purely for creative journaling. It’s a space where I slow down, play with paper and collage, and let ideas unfold without pressure. There’s no expectation for it to be finished quickly or look a certain way – it’s simply a place to explore creativity for its own sake.

I started using a separate notebook for this because I used to feel stuck trying to keep my everyday journals creative all the time. I wanted beautiful, layered pages, but I couldn’t keep up with that pace in a daily planner or journal. Having a Mini BlendBook gives me a dedicated place to immerse myself in that slower, paper-craft style of journaling whenever I have the time, without it interfering with my planning or daily writing.

This sits right at the heart of Journablend and The Blend Flow. It’s about blending different kinds of journaling in a way that feels natural and sustainable – keeping me organised while still making space for creativity and reflection. Instead of everything competing for attention in one notebook, each journal has its role, and together they create a flow that feels balanced and supportive.

Putting the page together

For this spread, I combined the printable fussy cuts with scrapbooking papers from my craft stash. I cut the papers into layered backgrounds, added small pockets to tuck in journaling cards, and used word strips from this printable kit to anchor the page. I like working in layers and moving pieces around until everything feels balanced. It’s a slow, intuitive process, and I find it deeply calming. The meaning behind the quote

As I worked with the quote, I kept thinking about community and how connection grows through loving kindness. For me, a garden grown from loving hearts feels like a metaphor for the way we build community together. Just like a garden is shaped by many small acts of care, connection deepens through everyday gestures of patience, empathy, and warmth. Those little moments add up, helping people feel supported and connected in quiet but meaningful ways.

If you’d like to explore that theme on your own page, here’s a simple prompt you might enjoy:

Journaling prompt: Where in your life are you helping to grow a garden of connection? Reflect on the small ways you give and receive kindness in your community.
