Extra Fussy Cuts for my Coastal Christmas Junk Journal Collection
I thought I was finished with the Coastal Christmas collection! But after I had everything finished and laid out together, I started thinking how lovely it would be to have a few little characters to add to the mix and give the collection even more personality.
So, of course, I ended up making one more little set. š
I wanted some Santa, reindeer and children that would fit in with the rest of the collection, but still have that warm-weather Christmas feeling. I didn’t want anything too novelty or “beach Santa” – just some sweet, beautifully illustrated Christmas characters that would sit naturally alongside the trees, wreaths, gifts, shells and other pieces already in the collection.
10 Coastal Christmas Character Fussy Cuts
The set includes 10 Santa, reindeer and children fussy cuts. They are all painted in the same soft watercolour style and palette as the rest of the Coastal Christmas collection.
There are a few different Santas, including one enjoying a Christmas cookie and a cold glass of lemonade! There are also some sweet children with presents and stockings, along with a couple of beautifully decorated reindeer.
Lots of little ways to use them
These are really intended as extra little pieces to mix in with the rest of the collection. You could tuck a reindeer into a pocket or add Santa to a junk journal page. You could also layer one of the children into a Christmas collage or combine the characters with the journaling words and other fussy cuts.
I can also see them being fun in my Mini BlendBook, where I tend to make little pages just for the joy of cutting things out and layering them together. They’re perfect for that kind of simple creative play.
And in my Daily BlendBook, I might use one or two more sparingly – perhaps a little Santa tucked into a pocket or a reindeer added to a festive collage.
