By the time July rolls around, I often realize I’ve slipped into the habit of rushing from one task to the next. I get so focused on finishing projects and ticking things off my list that I start thinking I’ll finally feel caught up once it’s all done.
Of course, there will always be another project, another idea, or another thing to do.
This month, I wanted to remind myself to slow down enough to enjoy the process, be more present in what I’m doing, and remember that how I spend my time is just as important as what I get done.
That’s what inspired this month’s Blend Prompt Card.
As always, there are three simple prompts to help you blend planning, reflection, and creativity in a way that feels gentle, practical, and easy to come back to throughout the month.

PLAN
What can slow down this month?
REFLECT
Where could I give myself more rest?
CREATE
Create a page using white space.
(Less filling, more breathing room.)
You can download the printable from the Planner Lovers Resource Library or through my free Patreon community.
By the middle of the year, it’s easy to slip into the habit of rushing from one task to the next. The planner fills up, the to-do list keeps growing, and before long it can start to feel like you’ll finally be able to relax once everything is done.
But of course, there’s always another project, another idea, or another thing waiting to be added to the list.
The July prompts are simply an invitation to slow the pace a little.
To enjoy the process more.
To be a little more present in what you’re doing.
And to remember that sometimes the way we move through the month matters just as much as everything we get done.

When I wrote this prompt, I wasn’t thinking about taking things off my to-do list.
I was thinking about the pace I move through them.
It’s so easy to believe I’ll feel successful once I’ve finished the next project or crossed off the next task. But the truth is, there will always be another one waiting.
This prompt is simply an invitation to notice where you could slow the pace a little.
Maybe it’s spending an extra half hour enjoying a creative project instead of rushing to finish it.
Maybe it’s taking your time with your morning planning.
Or maybe it’s choosing to do one thing with your full attention instead of always thinking about what’s next.
I’ve realised that when I slow down and enjoy the process, not only do I enjoy my days more, but the work itself often turns out better too.
Sometimes the way we do something matters just as much as getting it done.
Rest looks different for everyone.
It might mean sleeping a little longer.
Taking a walk without your phone.
Spending an afternoon creating instead of rushing to finish the next task.
Or simply slowing down enough to enjoy what you’re already doing.
As you journal, notice the moments when you feel most calm, present, or restored.
Those little moments often tell us a lot about what we need more of.
This month’s creative prompt is one of my favourites.
Instead of trying to fill every corner of the page, experiment with leaving some of it empty.
You could try:
White space isn’t wasted space.
It gives your page room to breathe.
Sometimes what you leave out becomes just as important as what you include.
One of the ideas behind Journablend is that planning, reflection, and creativity all support each other.
This month’s prompts are a reminder that The Blend Flow isn’t about getting more done.
It’s about slowing down enough to notice what’s happening while you’re doing it.
You might explore the Plan prompt in your dated planner, write about the Reflect prompt in your Daily BlendBook, and experiment with white space in your Mini BlendBook.
Or you might combine all three on one page.
There isn’t a right way to use the prompts.
They’re simply there to help you pause, be a little more present, and gently guide your next page.

The July Blend Prompt Card is available now inside the Planner Lovers Resource Library and through my free Patreon community.
Print it, tuck it into your planner or journal, or leave it on your desk as a little reminder throughout the month.
Sometimes we don’t need another productivity tip.
Sometimes we just need to slow down enough to enjoy the process.
If you’re using this month’s prompts, I’d love to hear from you in the comments. Which one are you drawn to first – Plan, Reflect, or Create?
